Producer
The name is MACBOOM aka BOOMBLASS, and I'm the C.E.O. of PHULLMOON RECORDS. All the beats that are created at Phullmoon Records are produced and made by myself. I believe that they are one of a kind and original. I started Djing in 1994 and after retiring djing, I started making beats and eventually got into producing. "YAAD YANK"
The Definition
Yaad yank came about when MacBoom had an idea, to combine Patois (Patwa) and the English language (the slang term) and call it yaad yank. The term yaad comes from word Yaady, this word is used to describe someone who is Jamaican. The term Yank comes from the word Yankee, this word is used to describe someone who is American.
How to speak "Yaad Yank"
Mostly if you are Jamaican and you do not know how to speak english (The slang term), you have to hang around someone who is American for at least a year and if you are an American and you do not know how to speak Patois (Patwa), you have to hang around someone who is Jamaican for at least a year.
The making of "Yaad Yank", the song
TMac already had the 1st verse and half of the 2nd verse done. TMac came to the studio and MacBoom had the beat playing, at the time the name of the beat was Gladiator. Macboom decided to make the hook in yaady (Patwa). TMac and MacBoom put their 2 musical minds together came up with the hook and the other half of the 2nd verse.The rest is history!
